S.S. Lazio has announced the start of the preliminary conference for the redevelopment project of the Flaminio Stadium, which will begin on Thursday, May 28, 2026. This project, presented by the biancoceleste club, aims to modernize and expand the stadium, a symbolic place for the city of Rome. During this conference, the municipal administration and the competent authorities will assess the feasibility of the project. The Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, emphasized the importance of this step, stating that the recovery of the Flaminio Stadium is a priority for the administration. Alessandro Onorato, the councilor for Major Events, confirmed that the initial phase will be technical and will involve experts from 39 entities. The expected timeline for the procedure includes a 45-day period for evaluations, with possible extensions. If the project receives a positive outcome, S.S. Lazio will need to develop a technical-economic feasibility project, following further procedures for final approval.
