Mario Gila's agent, Alejandro Camano, has categorically denied any agreements with external clubs for the S.S. Lazio defender. Camano made it clear that anyone wishing to acquire the player must speak directly with S.S. Lazio, who own his contract.
The Spanish central defender has delivered very impressive performances over the last few seasons, attracting the attention of several European giants. With his contract at the Stadio Olimpico running until June 2027, a summer sale might be necessary for S.S. Lazio to avoid losing him as a free agent. Gila turns 26 in August.
The most persistent reports paired him with AC Milan, with suggestions of an agreement already reached on personal terms. However, interest in Gila is not limited to the Rossoneri, but also includes clubs such as Real Madrid, Juventus, SSC Napoli, and Inter.
When contacted by Pianeta Milan regarding the speculations, Alejandro Camano stated: "Mario still has a year left on his contract with Lazio. I can say that, with all due respect for everyone’s work, none of what I’ve read is true." He expressed pride in the interest from an important club like Milan but emphasized respect for S.S. Lazio.
Camano continued by asserting: "So I am not talking to Milan, with Juve, or with any other club. If someone wants Gila, then they have to talk to Lazio, who own his contract. I am only the player’s agent." He also highlighted the importance of the moment for S.S. Lazio, who are heading into a Coppa Italia Final against Inter.
It has been suggested that Gila would particularly favor AC Milan if it means getting to work with coach Max Allegri. Camano commented that Allegri is "one of the best coaches," implying potential admiration, but without confirming any direct agreement or player preference at this time.
